The Polar prize is Sweden's biggest music award and is usually split between pop artists and classical musicians. The band received one million kronor (106,700 euros, 156,385 dollars).
Nick Mason and Roger Waters accepted the award on behalf of Pink Floyd.

Roger was of course asked about a possible Pink Floyd reunion where he said that there is not much hope because at the moment it's just Roger himself and Nick who wants the band back together.
Roger also told that he was very happy of the prize because Pink Floyd has never won nor get noticed this way, ever before.
