I guess the Philharmonie-inspiration in Goob can slightly be heard by the restless, a bit King Crimson-like rhythm pattern. I have only one CD from this French band, Nord from 1994 and released by (again) Cuneiform. I really liked that album because of the introvert use of the Chapman Stick, combined with the Robert Fripp-like guitar patterns. Islands is more subtle in the beginning, but when the "guitar" enters it has a bit of Gentle Giant (also because of the xylophone). You know, these demo's sound as if they are meant to be played by a full band; would have been interesting.
