In the liner notes of Steve Hacket´s "Genesis Revisited" I found this: In a New York radio interview in 1973 John Lennon announced that one of the bands he was currently listening to was called Genesis - a feather in the cap of a young struggling five piece desperate to succeed in "the colonies" where we where busy "Selling England By The Pound" at the time. This story isnt that very special, and especially not in comparison to this story that is from 1980s something.
The incredible Genesis story.
- Was reading a newspaper back then about this dude who was laying in a deep coma at some hospital (dont remember what in what country this happened). Obviously the doctors where not able to wake him up and the desperation of his family must have been terrible. The guy who was in coma was a Genesis fan and in some way someone came up with an idea to play him the music that he loved so much, ...and as you may have guessed..miracly he actually woke up from his deep coma that even the doctors couldnt help him with. Dont know the aftermaths of this incredible story but my guess is that he went well. I wonder what Genesis tune or album they played. Happy ending.
