Ahh, I see, yeah I remember they changed the rules a while ago, mainly to avoid spamming etc. This was the thread:
Wishing JA the best. Acute respitory failure sounds bad!
YES CANCELS 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR
Here is the press release reagading the tour cancellation:
NEW YORK, NY, JUNE 4, 2008 - Legendary rock band Yes announced today
that the group will unfortunately be canceling their 2008 40th
Anniversary Tour. The 26-city tour was scheduled to kick off in
Quebec next month and run through the summer.
Said Jon Anderson, In the wake of my recent respiratory attack,
doctors have advised me to spend the coming months resting and
recovering. Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to tour with
Yes this summer as originally planned. I'd like everyone know how
deeply disappointed I am by this turn of events. I was looking
forward to celebrating our music with the amazing family of Yes fans
once again; but as we all know, health must come before anything
else. Wishing you all the very best...
Said Chris Squire, We were all looking forward to performing for our
fans after a prolonged leave of absence from touring. I am especially
regretful of the fact that I know many of our fans and friends have
probably laid out non-refundable airfares and hotels, etc. in order
to enjoy the Yes shows this summer. Please join me in wishing Jon a
speedy return to health, which at this point in time is our main
concern.
Yes frontman and founding member Jon Anderson was admitted to the
hospital last month after suffering a severe asthma attack. He has
now been diagnosed with acute respiratory failure and was told by
doctors this weekend that he needs to rest and not work for a period
of at least six months or suffer further health complications. Upon
receiving this news the band has determined that their tour plans
need to be put on hold.
Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

Man, this sucks. I had amazing seats for this show.
...and I thought Rick Wakeman was being a bit wimpy for staying at home...

Tour back on with new singer? Is it true?

Jeez, ya know, it doesn't scare me away from seeing Yes with a new singer. It is kind of intriguing really. Not that I would not be unhappy if Jon didn't return, but according to that link, there are Yes songs that Jon's not willing to sing (Maybe some tunes from Drama?) and the setlist does have about 4 or 5 numbers that are always a static live element. I would like to hear some very obscure cuts.
I love Jon Anderson and think he is a wonderful human being, but, watching him live is strange. Like MJF says, he's like a gnome. It would be cool to see someone else head up the band for a tour.

It's hardly Yes without Anderson as far as I'm concerned. It was already bad enough that when I read the tour small print, the Wakeman on keyboards wasn't Rick but his son.

How about if they just call it "No" then?
Anderson is one of the most consistent singers around. He never really has a bad night, but after 20 years of seeing JA do vocals for Yes, it would be nice to see someone else have a go at it.
I usually just fixate on Steve Howe anyway. Chris Squire is just a fat, weird looking hammy dude anyway, who occasionally wears 'danskins' (WTF?!!) and places too much worth on his contribututions. See any one of dozens of Bill Bruford interviews to validate this. I never thought much of Alan White's playing either. He has good time, but that's about it.
I would miss Rick Wakeman, but Igor did have the boards for several years and did an outstanding job. I really am a huge Yes fan, but I have been for nearly 30 years so some change is good.

i actually liked when White took over since he played with more energy than Bruford.
honestly, i think Bruford was still learning to play while in Yes. Bruford's playing was much stronger by the time he did the Trick tour with Genesis.
the stuff he did with Yes wasn't that great imo.
White's chops sounded pretty good on records like Relayer and Drama but have since degraded drastically.

Interesting abbrev you used; "JA" is Dutch for "Yes"....
Well anyway, Yes was never my thing actually, although I like Close To The Edge and Going For The One. Jon's voice could really irritate me, while a lot of Howe's guitar-work sounds forced to me. And Jon, well, he's doing stuff with his new band:
