Hi everyone! I visited David Rosenthal´s website and found his favourite solos davidrosenthal.com/music_solos.htm
In Red Dawn, Flyin´High he uses a BX-3 through a Leslie 147. Like that sound very much, reminds me of a guitareffect Jimi Hendrix used at Fillmore east 1969/1970 (new years eve concerts) dont remember the name of the box he used back then.
The mini-moog sound he uses on the Raibow songs Death alley driver and Fire dance proves the power of the Moog, especially in the song Fire dance.
Christina Dawn What's The Matter With Love: He uses a JD300 and sounds almost like the BX-3/Leslie 147 sound, a screamy yet harmonic sound, like it alot.
Infinity, Secrets: Dont really like the sound of this solo but i do like the way David playing the fast notes in a relaxed, non stressed way. Kind of like Kit Watkins way of playing with HTM, fast but it sounds so easy and with a "light" hand (a lot of feeling).
Infinity, On The Edge: How manage to play a good solo to this kind of hard hitting beat, were is the soul in this song? Almost impossible! I really dont like this song and the solo aint the best David has done either. Scales running up and down is for the 1980´s guitar jerkers.
Will To Power, Anti-Social: Funk it up a bit and show another side of David´s playing. More in my taste, alot more of "feel" here!
Looking forward to hear David play some Happy tunes!
